TRANSGENDER

Transgender is an adjective used to describe a person whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth. This means that a transgender person may identify as male, female, neither, or a different gender altogether, and they may take steps to live as their true gender, such as changing their name, pronouns, and/or undergoing medical procedures. Being transgender is about acknowledging and embracing a gender identity that is different from the one assigned at birth. It is a complex and deeply personal aspect of one's identity and can involve a wide range of emotions and experiences. The term transgender is part of the broader spectrum of gender identity that includes non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals. Each transgender person has their own unique story and experiences and it is important to respect and support them as they navigate their journey.
